About Akada Brush
Founded in 1925 by Yoshio Akada and incorporated as a company, Akada Paint Brush Co., Ltd. in 1961. For over 80 years, Akada has manufactured various brushes - paint brushes, pastry brushes and artist brushes – by utilizing both modern technology and traditional craftsmanship.
In recent years, Akada has strengthen its planning and designing capabilities to supply “merchandise of even higher quality” and “custom-made articles produced by special processing”. SOU is Akada’s new project to develop and supply new type of livingware designed in a fusion of contemporary and Japanese tradition.
About SOU
SOU comes from Sou-eki Sen, the famous master of Japanese Tea Ceremony in the 17th century. SOU livingware represents the essence of the tea culture spirit, hospitality and well-preparedness. Made with Japanese craftsmanship, SOU’s high quality livingware can be enjoyed for both decorative and practical use.
